A rare specimen of the
arsenic-sulfide glass jeromite, coating quartz. Jeromite is a rare
mineral related to realgar, but its lattice lacks the long range order of
crystalline realgar.
Good examples are nearly
impossible to obtain, and these specimens from the Kami Mine are
particularly suited to collections, as the quartz crystal gives them some
shape.
