GX24 Azurite
Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico
3.8x 2.8x 1.4 cm
$335

So technically this is not a new find, however a major new pocket of azurite was discovered shortly before the show.

This specimen is a cluster of very sharp, bright blue crystals from the recent occurrence.

The most sought after examples derive their brighter blue color from a subsurface layer of malachite overgrown by a thin layer of azurite.  In the image below that shows the back of the specimen, you can see a bit of this malachite.  On the front (display) side of the specimen however, it is overgrown with azurite, giving it the brighter blue color.
