SHTO1 Topaz
Sherlova Gora, Adun-Cholon Range, Buriat Replublic, Eastern Siberia Region, Russia
5.0x 4.2x 3.1 cm
So much of the topaz available today is either form Utah, Mexico, or Pakistan--but here is one from the classic Russian locality at Sherlova Gora, where mining began in 1723.
It consists of one larger, terminated crystal with numerous other (also terminated) crystals around its base.
