Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Dept., Peru.
6.1x
3.9x 3.8 cm
$225
A very rich
specimen, with numerous pink rhodos to .9 cm. A couple
of the smaller crystals on the edge are cleaved, but all of the larger
ones are all intact. Overall a superb example of an Uchucchacua
rhodochrosite
These were quite plentiful at Tucson 2006,
but at Tucson 2007, even the Peruvian dealers only had a couple,
high-priced flats..
